The role of Marketing & Sales Intern will support both the Marketing and the Sales functions in Italy on B2B marketing campaigns to support sales of TV product, and direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns and product launches for Home Entertainment. The role will have opportunities for development and involvement in a mixture of creative direction and branding, events, B2B marketing, influencer marketing and performance and insight tracking. Sales activities will be essential part of the internship, such as (but not limited to) liaising with clients with respect to content queries; supporting Sales Department throughout deals lifecycle and ad hoc projects; maintaining internal tracking documents; assisting the TV Format Sales business; participation in pitch meetings to clients and local Screenings. Other key activities will include:
- Work with LA office to obtain and approve localised product assets and create bespoke materials to be used across retail and media platforms;
- Develop sales assets and pitches including trade ads, sales presentations and materials for our broadcast and SVOD clients;
- Develop creative CRM email assets for B2B partners which communicate key series updates;
- Bring ideas and concepts to life with visual aids – using creative skills and tools such as Photoshop;
- Oversee development of localised advertising material on film titles including online, social and Print production;
- Work alongside the Digital Team and TV sales teams on execution of key account priorities including timely supply of assets to digital accounts and broadcast clients;
- Co-ordinate and support on management of sales events: location booking, giveaways, creative ideas to make the event a success and associated admin tasks;
- Manage upcoming talent/PR opportunities, working closely with the European PR team, to support delivery of seamless broadcast campaigns for key shows in Italy including messages from key cast to broadcast clients or viewers and supporting press interviews;
- Monitoring competitive activity and maintaining the release schedule deck for our titles;
- Capturing key updates on our new series and communicating to the team;
- Create and update various spreadsheets for the home entertainment department;
- Create and update various spreadsheets for the TV Distribution department;
- Creation of regular meeting assets and reports;
- Be the day-to-day contact for operational requests, escalate in a timely manner critical decisions or approvals required;
- Liaise with marketing and client services team in LA to provide: avails communication, digital ratings, correct Italian theatrical titles;
- Responsible for raising and tracking Purchase Orders;
- RSVP and guestlist management for screening events;
- Induction sessions with key areas of the business to ensure a working knowledge of the company and industry;
- Weekly one to one sessions with line manager to receive constant feedback;
- Placement meetings with key agencies across the marketing mix (Media, Creative, PR) to ensure a working knowledge of the disciplines and working relationships;
- Opportunity to join/shadow important client meetings across transactional retailers and TV partners to get a high-level view of the industry;
- Refine our approach to press and events to help generate more buzz for our films and series;
- Exposure to internal meetings and processes run in business English: a great opportunity to finesse language skills in a professional context.
Profilo ricercato
We are looking for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communication, or Economics. Passion for pop culture, entertainment industry and internet trends are essential to this role. You should also be able to meet and demonstrate the following criteria:
- A passion for film and television with working knowledge of the product landscape;
- Excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail;
- Proactive approach and initiative to present own ideas;
- Demonstrable analytical and numeracy skills;
- Creative flair and passion;
- Fluency in English and Italian;
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral;
- Task and results orientated;
- MS Office Suite required, particularly PowerPoint and Excel;
- A plus, but not required, is a basic understanding of Photoshop.
